Dimitris Seitanis was born in Larissa. He is an actor, director and a writer. He played for the first time in theatre in 1983, while at the same time he worked as an assistant director. In 1994 he starts to direct, and in 1997 he founds Young People Theatre -which he runs ever since- a repertoire cast that is directed towards children and young people
He has participated in seminars and conferences about theatre, arts, culture and education. He was a member - Administrative Assistant and now President- of the Hellenic Theatre Centre for Children and Young People (Greek ASSITEJ). He is also a member of the "Minos Volonakis Friends" Union.
He has been for a series of years a member of the judicial committee for the Pan-Hellenic Artistic Contest for Students and in 2004 he was a member of the judicial committee for the Playwright State Contest for children. He has written for TV and theatre. Theatrical plays for children: "Fairytaliad" (prototype), "One Thousand and One Nights" (adaptation), "Alice in Wonderland" (adaptation), "If you ... were me!" (prototype). "Matilda" (adaptation), "The Ugly Duckling" (adaptation) and others.
