Stelios Bouziotis was born in Athens in 1981. He graduated from the Department of Music Technology and Acoustics Engineering at the University of Crete. He completed his studies with a thesis on "Survey, audiovisual composition and documentary film on the different periods of the history of the cave Melidoni from the Neolithic Age to nowadays".
He has directed four short films and currently he organizes his first feature film. His latest short film titled Two First Days was screened during the 2nd Short Films Festival of Onassis Cultural Centre in 2014.
The last two years he works as a director at Filmcat Productions where he has directed and edited videoclips, videodances, theatrical performances, etc. He has filmed and edited the interview of Marina Abramovic with Katerina Zacharopoulou at the Onassis Cultural Centre for "Era of Images' (ERT 2013), he has collaborated with KEY FRAME company for the award-winning documentaries "Ioannina of Contemplation and Legends" and" Byzantine Cavafy", he has directed and edited videos for Medecins Sans Frontiere under the title “Pills Against the Pain of others" and also he collaborated with Maria Papadimitriou and Menelaos Karamaghiolis (video’s sound design in the project entitled "Agrimika. Why look at Animals?") that represented Greece at the Venice Biennale 2015. As cinematographer he also collaborated with Kostas Zapas at his film Love, Love, Love that gained the title of the surprise film at the Athens International Film Festival 2015.
He had a special collaboration with the Chinese artist-activist Ai Weiwei in Idomeni in March 2016 for the project entitled Human Flow. Since 2010 he collaborates with the director Menelaos Karamaghiolis for the documentary series "Meetings with remarkable people" that have already completed 24 TV episodes for channel ERT.
