Paint It, 2012

1 male - 1 female

Maria Papalexi

Two children, a boy and a girl, observe a huge painting; it was theirĀ  grandfather's great-grandfather who started drawing it, followed by his children, and then his children's children and subsequently the children of their children of children... until it was the turn of their parents and uncles. So many people! Maybe that is the reason why this painting looks somewhat odd.

The two children suddenly find themselves inside the painting they were observing, still holding their painting kit! They walk among the designs, draw new ones, fill in and color, and paint the path that will lead them back, out of the painting; but ... can they make it better?
