Twenty acts-violence lessons, through Alice's eyes, who is reading a book about Duval Bacot's history, a magician. It is a violent summer. The heat attacks the small town. Every townsman and townswoman is desperately looking for a way out: A fountain, a park, a cool super market, a deserted hotel, a book about magicians - including the story of the greatest magician who ever lived. They would even sell their lives to the Devil to make that happen. In the end everyone will get what they deserve and only one young girl will find the emergency exit...
