Mitsos and Candy are two scavengers who are trying to survive. Mitsos has spent his life among the trash – where he also met Candy – and has been suffering from frostbites in his feet since his fighting days in Albania. The couple’s hopes for a better future are vested on other people, and a help that will never come. Argyris – Mitsos’ son and a policeman in the anti-riot squad – has been brought up in institutions, and has become hard and cruel, a disturbed personality.
