The ghost of German artist Kaethe Kollwitz(1867-1945) arrives in contemporary New York City, materializing in an art gallery. She passionately searches for clues that lead back to the vibrant world of the senses. As she reaches back to life, confused memories from her past mingle with her vivid impressions of the chaotic new civilizations spawned today in Berlin and New York City.
