Vasiliki Misiou holds a BA in English Language and Literature from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, an MA in Translation and a PhD in Literary Translation and Cultural Studies from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. The title of her doctoral thesis is “The Translation Activity of 19th- and 20th-Century Greek Poets. Their Theoretical Approaches to Translation and Their Translation Work”. Her research interests lie in the areas of literary and theatre translation, gender and translation (her postdoctoral thesis is on Greek women translators), semiotics and comparative literature. She speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish.
