DNA, 2009

1 male - 2 female

Giorgos (Cyprus) Neofytou

The play pertains to the issue that arose in recent years with the identification of the bones of missing persons through the method of DNA, focusing on the emotional journey of a middle-aged woman and her son, and their different reactions when they learn that the husband and father whose return they have been waiting all those years has been dead all along.

A woman who was then 30 years old and her son an infant are still waiting for the missing father.

Thirty-five years of waiting, patience, hope, doubt, and pain; of conflicts between reason and emotion; of innumerable "whys" that still remain unanswered.
